What resin products and molds do I use?

I get asked very frequently what kind of resin I use and where I get my resin molds. I compiled some of the products that I use into this blog post for easy searching.

Disclosure: These are all products that I personally use and all opinions expressed here are my own. This post contains affiliate links that at no additional cost to you, I may earn a small commission on purchases made through them.

Moon Phase Tray Mold

Super versatile mold that I always have in use! Get it on Amazon here.

Skull Moth Mold

This mold is from one of my favorite mold makers. I will happily pay the shipping fees from the UK - The Mouldy Tombstone.

Crescent moon & Coffin Tray Molds

I got these from a really great mold store on Etsy napped Zapp3d Design. I have a few more molds from them as well, they are always such high quality and have lasted me forever.

Mica Powders

Eye Candy Mica Powder

I love Eye Candy's mica powder, and in particular this set of "ghost" pigments and glitter. I use these in almost every single one of my projects. The Galactic Ghost Violet color is featured in the Cathedral Window above, and I use the Glimmer and Galactic glitters to add a very subtle hint of sparkle to other projects.

Get the Ghost set on EyeCandy.com

It's important to do your research before purchasing mica - a lot of mica is unethically sourced. Eye Candy has a pretty comprehensive ethics statement that states that they do not test on animals and that no child labor is used during any part of the production of their powders.

Eye Candy also sells really great sample packs (which last forever), and their colors are just insane:
Glow in the Dark Sample Set
Black/Brown/White Sample Set
Purple/Blue Sample Set
Colorshift Sample Set

Meyspring Mica Powder

Another of my favorite mica companies (I mean come on...just look at the colors in this gemstone set) - who source ethically.

Resin

Resin - Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Epoxy

Get a 32oz Kit Here or
Get a 2gal Kit Here

I have used Alumilite resin for years now and it has never failed to disappoint. I keep the gallon bottles of it on my worktop, and use their pumps to get out what I need. The resin is super high quality, resists yellowing, and keeps well. Alumilite also makes a great deep pour epoxy, for projects that require a single, deeper pour.

UV Resin Kit from Let's Resin

UV resin is still fairly new to me, but I've been using and loving this kit from Let's Resin. It comes with everything you need to get started with UV resin - the resin itself, an LED light, silicone mat, etc.

Other

Paper Specimens

I CANNOT recommend this small business enough! I buy all of my paper specimens (moths, butterflies, other insects, even skeletons, hummingbirds, and bats) from Moth & Myth. They are truly special.

Mini Mushrooms

I use these adorable 3D printed mini mushrooms in a lot of my projects, especially in my shelves where they fit really nicely and look like they are sitting on the actual shelf.

Get them on Amazon here

I also have an astronaut version and a jellyfish version. If you're feeling extra fun, you can get a pack of both the mushrooms and jellyfish here.

Some other (not as fun) products I live by:

The World's Largest Silicone Mat (to protect my workspace)
My Heatgun (with an extra long cord!)

Disposable materials that I use (not brand loyal, just good prices!):

30mL Disposable Measuring Cups
8oz Disposable Paper Cups
Popsicle sticks / tongue depressors / craft sticks (whatever you'd like to call them!)
